Since then, we’ve been hard at work integrating Sui’s cutting-edge blockchain technology into Hydro, and today, we’re thrilled to share updates on how this partnership continues to unlock new possibilities.
This collaboration allows us to harness Sui’s impressive technology—like their low-latency network and high throughput—resulting in faster transactions and a smoother user experience.
Our main goal is to make Hydro a better place for everyone, whether you're a Web3 veteran or just starting out. We are dedicated to bridging this gap with those new to decentralized technologies, especially with improved onboarding processes and overall performance of the entire platform, enabling everyone to be an active participant in the benefits of the digital economy.
One of the standout features we’ve introduced is zkLogin, which allows users to log in using familiar credentials such as Google or Facebook. This means less hassle and more convenience for you!
Thanks to Sui's Mysticeti consensus, we’ve significantly reduced latency, enabling us to process transactions in near real-time. This means you can expect lightning-fast interactions, making your experience feel instantaneous. Transaction times are now down to fractions of a second, benefiting both publishers and users on our platform.
Moreover, Sui’s horizontal scaling capabilities allow Hydro to handle tens of thousands of transactions per second. This means as we grow, we can accommodate more users and transactions without compromising performance.
What specific Sui features and technologies is Hydro using:
- Staking Decentralised applications run through Sui Move contracts
- zkLogin for web2 onboarding of users to the Hydro platform. These users also transact in a decentralized manner to transfer Sui to the Hydro Plus contract purchase and utilize the Prover service
- Sui extension for Migration and Staking platforms
- Sui Multisig to support Multisig access control of Hydro contract governance
Technologies from Sui that can’t be found on another blockchain:
- Sui Multisig is supported out-of-box using offchain signatures
- Higher transaction speeds, and being able to send funds to more accounts using Multisend
- Object IDs help fetch Sui Delegation rewards using a single API
