As we wrap up another exciting month, we’re thrilled to share some key updates from February. From major product launches to team expansions, it’s been a month full of growth and progress.
February Tech/Product Updates
Hydro Plus:
- First 3rd Party Ad Banner Launched
We’ve launched our first ad campaign using Hydro+ on February 10 - for a limited audience, in line with our requirements. Our first client, one of our closest partners - Crypto Fight Night, has already seen encouraging results from the updated ad feature.

- Optimization Phase
From February 11-14, optimizations were made to observe any pattern changes:- Continued display of CFN banner until clicked once
- Geo-expansion
- Static banner switch from floating
- Advertiser Analytics Page for CFN Launched
On February 11, we launched the advertiser analytics page for our first advertising customer, Crypto Fight Night. - Second Banner & Analytics Portal Launch
On February 25, a second banner was introduced along with a related advertiser analytics portal. - Complimentary Extension for First-Time Subscribers
We offered a 2-week complimentary extension to first-time Hydro Plus subscribers. Rewards from the free plan were provided, but ads were not shown.
Maintenance & Misc Updates:
- Email Service Migration
Migrated from Sendgrid to AWS to avoid potential reputation issues with Sendgrid’s IPs impacting deliverability. - Meta Compliance Communication
Communication with Meta for compliance is ongoing, with most concerns resolved. - Traffic Quality Pattern Testing
Proof-of-concept completed, with pattern analysis conducted for top 10 websites. Interesting results were found, though further work is needed to extract actionable insights. - Knowledge Base Creation
A knowledge base for customer service with common FAQs has been created, with continuous updates. - Messaging Queue Maintenance
Manual maintenance for load balancing performed to improve performance. - Optimization of Taxonomy Payload Weight
Optimized payload weight for better performance. - Brand Kit Migration
Migration of the Hydro brand kit to our domain is complete. - Webflow Optimization
Optimized Webflow to restrict bandwidth within subscription limits. - Banner Issues Fixed
Resolved an issue where Hydro Plus banners were showing up in rare cases. - Error Message in Dev Mode Resolved
An issue with error messages in development mode was resolved. - Customer Tickets Handled
A total of 86 customer-reported tickets were handled in February, covering tech, privacy, operations, payments, and others.
In-Progress:
- Banner Module Redesign
Technical planning for the banner module redesign is currently in progress. - Website Performance Metrics
Evaluation of website performance metrics is ongoing. - PayPal Alternatives
Ongoing evaluation of alternatives to PayPal, with Stripe being set up. - Tech Enhancements for Programmatic Integration
Evaluation of tech enhancements to support programmatic integration with third-party DSPs.

Marketing Updates
- Publisher Rewards
The process for publisher payments is almost cleared, and payments will go out ASAP. After the first payment post-pause, the process will run much more smoothly, with a 2-3 day margin of error maximum moving forward.
We really appreciate your patience during this process. It’s one of our top priorities.
- Development of Community+
The development of Community+ is moving forward. Community+ will be Hydro’s flagship product to onboard Web2 users into Web3.
This product will introduce users to the world of crypto, from education to generating passive income. The phased deployment is well into planning, and we’re focused on delivering it soon.
- Team Expansion
To support the growing demands of Hydro, we’re expanding key areas of our team:- The Sales team is fully integrated and is working hand-in-hand with the marketing department.
- Our community management team is also expanding, ensuring we maintain strong engagement with our ever-growing user base. 🚀
- New Media Buying Campaigns
To drive more clients to our advertising packs, we’ve relaunched media buying campaigns.- We’re testing Yandex for the first time, alongside Google Search campaigns, targeting new markets and reinforcing our presence in existing regions.
This is part of our ongoing effort to expand Hydro’s reach and grow our advertising network. 🎯
